Photography
Roles: Photographer, Art Director
Photography is one of my favorite art forms. I thrive both behind and beside the camera; photographing, art directing, typical directing, prop and product setup, shooting in a studio or out in the wild. There's nothing better than executing a thorough pre-production plan, capturing the perfect moment, and seeing the hard work pay off and the vision come to life.
Portrait Work

Headshots - Bellie, a Tattoo Artist
Portraits are my favorite thing to photograph. There is a lot of vulnerability in trusting someone to capture your image in a way that feels true to you. I take that trust very seriously and guide and direct my clients from start to finish to create images that fulfill their vision.
Headshots for Bellie, a Tattoo Artist
Bellie is a talented young tattoo artist in Fredericksburg, VA. She came to me with an idea: headshots inspired by Vermeer's Girl with a Pearl Earring, since her signature "look" consisted of a multitude of scarves that she wore to hold her hair back while working and pink latex gloves. I bought some clip-on earrings, and we created some magic.
She also trusted me with the cover design for her tattooing portfolio book. The cover had to display both vertically and horizontally, hence the typography choices. We were both ecstatic with how the images and portfolio cover turned out.
Portraits - Shells, Valentine's Day themed shoot

Art Director on Set
When not behind the camera, I still excel at directing. From lifestyle to landscape, product to people, managing the big picture to get that one perfect shot feels as natural as breathing.

This set of images I was both photographer and art director.

These images I was the on-set art director. Local photographer TJ Ponds captured the images.
